Soon we will be painting outdoors everyday. Can't wait!

Hello again!

Sorry for such a delay in posts. Although it has been a fruitful winter painting many canvases and several large commissions, I can't wait to get out of doors and paint. Our fearless leader, Corinne McIntyre, says we will be at Murray Hill Landing in East Boothbay this Wednesday morning. I have always found this to be a challenging place to paint. It's usually windy and the way the harbor comes at you into a point is different. Usually we are on the edge of a cove or on a peninsula looking out, so there is a horizon straight across and one shoreline to the side. Murray Hill has two shorelines coming at you. For some reason, this bothers me. It's hard enough to compose a scene to create a painting as it is without the extra shoreline.

The above photo is merely a memory of me painting at Memorial Park.

I am completely redoing the allen david GALLERY website and at the same time learning to design with div tags instead of tables. It's a totally different way of thinking about web design than a few years ago, but I think it will be better and add more flexibility. I hope to have that project completed in a few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Cheers!
Allen

  1. We'll be there as soon as the weather warms up a bit. Hope this is the last snowfall until next winter. Time for spring!
